The HFEC successfully collaborated across organizations and programs to provide workshops and programs to the Houston area community. The following organizations and offices were partners — the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, the Mayor’s Office of Education, the Mayor’s Office for Adult Literacy, Houston Public Library, Bank On Houston, Regions Bank, the Alliance, Ms. Black Texas USA, and Houston Money Week.

Sandra Imery, the Financial Empowerment Center Program Manager, accepted the award on behalf of the entire HFEC team. Special thanks were given to the following financial counselors who participated in April Financial Literacy Month; Lydia Sims, Marcus Hill, and Noemi Flores,  along with Ana Gonzalez, the Alliance FEC Program Manager.

The HFEC is excited to continue to grow and expand their financial work in the Houston community through its collaborations with Houston Money Week and other partners in the future.
